UGC NET Re-Exam Answer Key 2026 Released; Check Responses and Raise Objections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key of UGC NET June 2026 re-exam on the 10 September 2026 at the official website. Candidates who have appeared in the re-examination for the re-exam for English, Commerce and Sociology subjects conducted by NTA can download the answer key and response sheet from the official portal, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The examination was held on 9th and 10th September 2026 at various exam centres across the nation. Candidates can check their answer key and they can raise their objection against provisional answers within the given period.

UGC NET Re-Exam Answer Key 2026 Overview

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was originally conducted from June 22 to 30 across 87 subjects. However, the NTA received multiple complaints regarding errors in question papers for English, Commerce, and Sociology.

Following these discrepancies, the NTA canceled the examinations for these three subjects and conducted a re-examination. The re-exam was held on September 9 and 10, 2026 at various examination centers across the country.

How to Download UGC NET Re-Exam Answer Key 2026

For downloading the answer key, candidates can follow these simple steps from the official website.

1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
2. Click on the “UGC NET 2026 Answer Key” notification link
3. Enter your login credentials using Application Number and Password or Date of Birth
4. Enter the security pin displayed on the screen
5. Click Submit to view the answer key, question paper, and response sheet
6. Download and save the PDF for future reference

UGC NET Answer Key Challenge Process

Candidates dissatisfied with the answer key can submit challenges online until 13 September up to 11:59 PM. The processing fee for the objections is Rs 200 per question challenged, payable through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. NTA will examine the objections with the help of subject experts. If a challenge is found valid, the required correction will be applied to the final answer key.

Candidates can calculate their estimated scores using NTA’s standard evaluation rules.

1. Correct Answer: +2 Marks
2. Incorrect Answer: 0 Marks (No negative marking)
3. Unattempted Questions: 0 Marks
