The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has officially released the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination Notification. The main objective of this recruitment to fill approximately 500 vacancies across various Group A and Group B administrative posts in the state government.
According to commission notification, the online application process began from June 25, 2026, and will open until July 27, 2026. Candidates can apply through the official website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
The UPPSC has announced around 500 vacancies. However, the final number may change depending on departmental requirements.

UPPSC PCS 2026 Salary Details
Selected candidates will receive pay scales ranging from ₹9,300–34,800 (Grade Pay ₹4,200–4,600) to ₹15,600–39,100 (Grade Pay ₹5,400) as per the 6th Pay Commission.
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute

UPPSC PCS 2026 Selection Process
To secure a spot in the final merit list, aspirants must clear three distinct phases.
Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
Paper I (General Studies): 150 questions, 200 marks — counted for Prelims merit
Paper II (CSAT): 100 questions, 200 marks — qualifying only (requires 33% marks)
Negative marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
Prelims marks are not carried forward to the final merit
Main Examination (Written/Descriptive)
Total marks: 1,500
Papers: General Hindi, Essay, General Studies I–IV, and two papers on General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh (GS-V and GS-VI)
No optional subject — major reform from the 2023 cycle
Held over 4 consecutive days
Personality Test (Interview)
Carries 100 marks
Conducted at UPPSC Headquarters in Prayagraj
Final merit: Main Examination (1,500 marks) + Interview (100 marks) = 1,600 marks
